Klout and You

Klout is an online influence metric.  The site gathers information from your twitter, linkedin, facebook, google+, instagram, and other online social media web sites, and calculates a score of how your online postings influence others on the good, ole interweb.  This is an interesting metric because, if you are trying to have an impact on other users, you can experiment and see if your Klout score improves or declines.  Having a metric is helpful because the…See More

About Tim Faith

Timothy Faith is an attorney admitted to the Maryland bar in 2008. Prior to entering private practice as an attorney in 2009, Tim spent ten years managing information technology services, including negotiating contracts for the purchase and implementation of commerical grade information systems. He focuses his practice on technology issues that intersect with legal ones, such as negotiating contracts for technology implementations, ensuring regulatory compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), copyright and trademark, and other business/corporate law matters. Tim graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School, magna cum laude, and also holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where he majored in painting.

Tim has developed applications for the internet, and has designed reporting systems based on complex requirements for a variety of users. He also has extensive experience with local and wide area networks, implementing major information systems including an electronic health record system, technical security, disaster recovery preparedness, and end user support. Tim is also a proud iPhone user.

Domain Name Services (Don't Be Fooled)

One of my clients forwarded to me an email he received regarding the renewal of his domain name.  The email had the appearance of an invoice for the renewal.  The problem?  The invoice was not from my client's domain name registrar, but from a vendor that wants my client to transfer his domain away from his existing registrar.
