The Memorial Service for Michael Radcliffe- Sunday, August 7, 2011

Yesterday was the Memorial Service for Michael Radcliffe, which was held by his family at the Towson Sheraton.

Cantor Nancy Ginsberg, who is the Chaplain at Gilchrest Hospice, beautifully led a service with her outstanding voice, speech, and presence.  She allowed as many as a thousand members of Michael’s friends and family to join together and celebrate his life.  She sang songs and told wonderful stories…

Jacke McCurdy, the First Female in the BCBA- A Woman of Many Firsts whose First Fee was a half dozen donuts

Watch an incredible piece of music history this weekend for free- Concert for Bangladesh

The I Tunes store is allowing everyone to stream for free the late and great George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the show.  It includes some priceless performances by Harrison, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr among others.  I'm listening to it now & the sound quality is quite good.  I can almost feel my hair grow back in as I listen to "My Sweet Lord."  (Unfortunately, it's growing on my back, like an old man, instead of…

Parades are such a part of the July 4th holiday that I decided to peruse the parade photos from the wonderful website of the Baltimore County Public Library, the Legacy Web.
